It’s always been such a pleasure to get to work together with Emmy and Jeff, and now with sweet little Eleanor involved, it’s just even better. This lifestyle family photography session at the lovely house of the Sheffield-Brays was extra special as it took place on the anniversary of their wedding that I had photographed 3 years prior. And, right around the same time that they were walking down the aisle to pledge their love for one another. That was a truly magical day and one what I was so honoured to be a part of. If you’d like to take a gander at the story of that day, feel free to click here. And this day was just as special – their first family photo session with their newest team member – Eleanor. She read us some of her favourite books, showed off the fact that she takes after her foodie mom and dad by prepping some strawberries for a snack for everyone, and even helped tend to the vegetable garden by giving it some much needed watering in this drought of a summer we’ve been having. Ellie had a blast trying to sneak away down the laneway outside of the house and giggling as I chased her back to mom and dad. She even got to visit one of her favourite neighbours – the adorable little white fluff ball of a dog next door (who seemed eager to star in the images herself). It was such a joy to just get to relax around the home with this loving family and documents some of the daily moments of their lives. It is my favourite way to capture all the natural memories that families build together over the years.
